THE CUT - SPRING CLEAN

As we prepare to turn the clocks forward – don’t forget to do yours on Sunday 30th March – and officially begin British Summer Time, our Copy Writer, Laura Fraser pulls together her five key pieces to kick start a fresh new wardrobe for the new season.

1.ISABEL MARANT ETOILE Denim Chevron Coat - £350

Denim is an essential in any wardrobe and steering from the traditional, an oversized mid-length coat is an interesting way to adopt the look. This chevron patterned jean jacket is the perfect light cover-up and can be layered over a variety of outfits.

2.GESTUZ Frix Shorts £90

The Bermuda length can seem a little daunting to some but the new season style is a flattering, directional cut with a classy elegance. Long-line shorts make for a versatile buy that can be dressed up or down with heels or trainers.

3.SOPHIE HULME Leather Envelope Bag £350

Neon remains a key staple for Spring/Summer 2014 and picking up a bright accessory to team with neutrals is an easy way into the trend. Sophie Hulme’s classic envelope shape in an eye-popping acid green makes for a super chic statement.

4.LANVIN Snake Skin Low Top Pumps £525

Mix up your footwear this season with a pair of on-trend textured trainers. Lanvin’s snake print leather pumps are a feminine, fun option that are more than practical for long days out, weekend walks and sunny getaways.

5.MARKUS LUPFER Love Will Tear Us Apart Sequin Sweatshirt £190

With sports luxe still going strong, a statement sweatshirt like this by Markus Lupfer is an investment worth making. Team with long-line shorts for everyday cool or a pencil skirt for an edge on smart office-appropriate dressing.
