WEAR THE SPRING SUMMER 2014 TRENDS NOW

Think ahead to next spring when planning your winter wardrobe – look at the trends that will transcend seasons and make investment purchases that will stand the test of time.

Cotton candy colours are this season’s hottest hues, with a statement pink coat being one of winter’s key pieces. Translating effortlessly to next season, the feminine shade was seen on catwalks from Burberry Prorsum to Roland Mouret and Helmut Lang. Ranging from vibrant flashes of fuchsia to sugary-sweet shades, pink can be worn head to toe for strong impact or paired with grey, black or white for a fresh alternative colour palette.

Cover up in Paul Smith’s hot pink coat, fuse trends with Roland Mouret’s asymmetrical top and dress or discreetly add pink to your wardrobe with Dolce & Gabbana’s fuchsia court shoes. MSGM’s baby pink gilet and Joseph’s roll neck jumper are ideal for layering between seasons.

Florals were fresh and feminine for spring – moving away from this season’s dark and moody autumnal tones. Three-dimensional floral embellishments were heralded by Dolce & Gabbana, Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane; although delicate painterly prints also riveted the fashion crowd.

Surpass seasons with Dolce & Gabbana’s ethereal blooms, layering during the colder months and embracing delicate fabrics as spring arrives. MSGM’s sheer silk dress perfectly embodies both the current trend for moody florals and spring’s love affair with transparent fabrics and garden party prints.
