GET THE LOOK: GLOSSY LIDS, KITTEN EYES + A BOLD LIP

The perfect night out makeup doesn't exi…. Until now. Created for those who enjoy the finer things in life, this going-out makeup look created with Gucci Beauty is all about a flawless finish, perfectly defined lips, and subtle, sexy eyes

The mastermind behind it? Celebrity makeup artist, Nikki Makeup. Ft. Gucci Beauty's most iconic products, matte skin is paired with glossy lids and a simple cat eye is offset by bold, burgundy lips. It’s a masterclass in contradictions and the result is effortlessly cool.

Using Gucci Beauty’s key products, the skin was buffed and perfected, eyes were layered up with mascara and liner, and their cult Éclat De Beauté Effet Lumière Gel Face Gloss was added as a finishing touch.

Polished but fresh, cool but luxe, this is how to give your next night-out makeup look a refresh with Nikki Makeup and Gucci Beauty.

This look is just a really fun, super chic take on a going-out look.

STEP 1: I wanted to keep everything really really clean and glowy in terms of skin. I cleansed and moisturised and I think the key part of this look is the primer, so I used a generous amount of the Gucci Sérum De Beauté Fluide Soyeux Silk Priming Serum to blur her pores before I applied foundation.

STEP 2: I love using more of a skin-finishing matte texture to perfect the complexion, and then just adding touches of highlight exactly where they’re needed. That way, you get a perfect-looking face that still looks glowy but just in the right areas. I use powder with a small brush so that you can be precise with your application. Rather than dusting everywhere, I just make sure that I have it exactly where I need it, in those pinpoint locations.

STEP 3: For the eyes, I lined them with liner and tons of Gucci Beauty Mascara L'Obscur L'Obscur to add lots of definition.

STEP 4: Then, I finished with a gloss on the lids, for that super-luxe feel. The easiest way to do a glossy cat-eye is to cheat it and leave a slight gap in between the gloss and the liner. If you bring the gloss right up to the liner then it tends to smudge, but if you leave a tiny gap, then it’s something that the eye doesn’t see, so you still get the feel of that super glossy lid but it gives a more long-wearing effect.

STEP 5: I prepped with a lip liner - that allows the lipstick to have something to grip to. Then, I always go in with a lip brush rather than using the lipstick directly from the bullet. I find you’ve got a little bit more control that way when you’re using a dark shade. I always angle the lip brush so the edge of the lip brush is facing outwards - facing the outer part of the lip - and that way, you can draw in a clean line. I think that’s key when you’re doing such a strong look - you want those lines to be clean. I think that’s the easiest way to get symmetry for a deep lip.
I teamed the whole look with a deep, matte plummy lip, which gives it a slightly harder edge.
