Autumn is well and truly here, which means it’s time to start making some key new-season purchases. While some staples will never go out of style (think knee-high boots and cosy scarves), there’s some fresh new trends coming in fast. On the forecast? Expect a host of autumn-coded textures and colours, big prints and statement outerwear. Sound good? We thought so. 1. THE PUFFED-UP JACKET

Leather in all its guises has been a firm fixture for the AW24 collections, but a way to make your leather jacket feel fresh this season? Puffing the whole thing up. The unexpected hit of the summer, the knee-high boot, is staying around for autumn too. Go for a slick black pair with a chunky heel. At the other end of the footwear shopping list this season, is the slightly less practical suede loafer. Coach may just be the brand of the moment. Their Tabby Shoulder Bag made it onto Lyst’s coveted Hot List earlier this year and the brand has had everyone in a frenzy ever since, including Bella Hadid who was spotted touting their new Brooklyn Bag across New York City. But it’s the faithful Tabby, in this new conker-hued brown, that’s caught our eye.

6. THE BIG SCARF
