Style Advisor: Mini Looks, Big Style

School’s out for half-term and we think a week off timetable calls for a little wardrobe freshen up. With temperatures (finally) on the rise, now’s the ideal time to revisit their warm-weather attire and top up their collections with tees, skirts and hoodies (it is Britain after all). From Balmain to Burberry, our favourite luxury brands are serving up a whole host of mini looks with big style. We’ll take one for ourselves too.

If your mini me fancies themselves as the next Olympic gold medal winner come July, let them live their track team fantasy with a little help from Gucci. Start with a retro-inspired sports jacket, complete with red and green cuffs, and finish with the brand’s signature canvas monogram – this time in the shape of an on-trend baseball cap. Occasion a little fancier? Deck them out in a preppy dress - cute collar and ribbons included - and brighten up the fit with velcro low tops made for racing around.

Never for one for laying low, Burberry’s signature checks are covering everything from mini polo shirts and pleated skirts to their matching trainers. Subtle, no, but when has that ever been our style? Still got school on the mind? The Nico backpack will work for perfectly for summer jaunts and staycations now, and for carrying school supplies in between.

Logomania is still seriously hot and who better to rock this summer than the iconic French fashion house Balmain? Go for an array of hoodies, tees and sweatshirts that come in a rainbow of colourway. Our advice? Keep things simple in whites, blacks and blush pink (the colour of the season) that can be easily mixed and matched all summer long.
