WORDS: MARNI ROSE MCFALL

Party season is well under way, and we can’t get enough. As we head out to our never-ending parties, we’ve got one thing on our minds: giving partywear a new perspective… Starting with the hottest brands on the block. From big energy fits to loud looks and statement pieces, this is style that’s big and bold. Diesel, Casablanca, Mugler, oh my: these are the partywear brands to know.

1. THE ATTICO

Street style sensibility, high-energy glamour and a big dose of attitude: Italian brand The Attico was founded by Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Amborosio back in 2016. Today, they’re a fashion heavy weight and count the likes of of Dua Lipa and Hailey Bieber as fans. It’s safe to say their influence is pretty unshakeable. From slip dresses to slick mules and bulky cargos, they’ve perfected the art of the party outfit, mixing bold styles with considered craft. The result? A unique aesthetic, a love for all things feme and major looks.

2. CASABLANCA

Fusing luxury and leisurewear, Casablanca was founded by Cherif Tajar in 2018. Since then? It’s become a firm-favourite of the street style set. Merging inspirations from its namesake city and the landscape of North Africa, the brand pays homage to Tajar’s French Moroccan roots, and the pieces are made for decadent endeavours. Think vibrant colours, buttery soft fabrics and statement looks, that were made to be enjoyed.

3. MUGLER

A fierce mission to empower women. It girls wearing their designs like uniform. Bold sex appeal. Mugler does it all. First debuted by Thierry Mugler in 1974, Mugler have been showcasing ingenious designs for years. And since Casey Cadwallader’s appointment as creative director, the brand has been carving out a new space in the industry that was made for Mugler. Think their cult thong jeans, illusion lycra and cut-out tailored pieces. A Mugler piece is made to make an impact. Which is exactly what we want from our partywear fits.

4. DIESEL

In the past year, Diesel have made a serious comeback. Under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, the brand is now one of the hottest in the world, having appeared in Lyst’s top 20 index for the first time. And their party looks are to die for.
