It’s hard to comprehend, but Scott Disick has been dominating our screens now for over 14 years as his life and exploits have played out to as many as 10.5 million viewers an episode. Of course, we’re talking about that little-known show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It’s no wonder then that we feel like we know him, intimately.

But the reality TV star has come a long way. Now a dad of three, he’s turned his hand to the world of fashion, creating a sought-after luxury sportswear label, punchily named Talentless.

Created in homage to the new wave of innovators, influencers and creators doing things their way, the 40-piece collection features elevated basics, luxury loungewear and beautifully crafted pieces made for the everyday, with regular exclusive capsule collections you’ll only find at FLANNELS.   

To celebrate Talentless’ exclusive UK launch with FLANNELS, the man himself shares his inspiration behind the brand, what having “talent” really means to him and his future legacy. It’s time to get acquainted with Mr Disick.

To those looking on the surface, Talentless might seem like a negative or flippant term for a brand. But there’s more to it than that. Why did it come to be name of your debut label?

I came up with the brand name Talentless because I wanted to build a brand that wasn’t trying to take itself too seriously. Before social media it seemed like the only way to be successful in the entertainment business was to be extremely “talented” in either playing sports, acting in movies or television shows, or being a musician with their songs on the radio. Now, because of social media, everyday people are building hugely successful businesses without having traditional “talent”. I wanted to show people that talentless isn’t a negative term anymore since so many “talentless” people are some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the entertainment business today.
Who are you designing for? You say it’s for “the outsiders”. Do you see yourself this way?

I think a lot of people feel like they are outsiders and trying to be someone they see on social media. I try not to take myself too seriously and not listen to other people who don’t know me personally.

What does “talent” mean to you?

To me, talent means something you’re either born with or you worked on that separates you from others. 

What’s been – and continues to be - the most important thing about creating the Talentless collections?

Fashion trends moves so quickly now, so I try to design collections that are timeless.

If we only purchased one piece, what should it be?

The new Premium Hoodie. I designed every aspect of it from the weight of the fabric, exact size of the hood, where the pockets are located, and even how the elastic fit on the sleeves and bottom. It’s the perfect hoodie.

When it comes to breaking the rules, who have been the key figures that have inspired you?

I always love art and interior design. Artists like Damien Hurst are incredible, since he can always reinvent his idea of art.

We’ve watched you grow on screens over the past 14 years. What does success mean to you now? How has this changed?

Success before was always about money but now I look at success as a combination of doing something you enjoy and building a successful brand that you can sell. You can’t focus on making money as your only motivation when building a brand - you have to focus on building the best product or service you can, then hope the money will follow.  

If you could look back and tell your 18-year-old self-one thing, what would it be? 

Enjoy every minute it because time moves fast.  


You were once known for your power suits and clean cuts. Talentless is a huge step change when you look back. How would you describe your style today? 

Chic comfort.

What’s the most important thing to you when buying new pieces and building a wardrobe? 

I know immediately if I like something. If I have to think about it, then usually it’s not something I should buy.
