Living and thinking like an outsider, Thierry Mugler has defied the norms since a boy. Leaving his home town at the age of 20, he ran to Paris where the streets were both his catwalk and inspiration for the birth of his career as a designer. Working early with major fashion houses, he created his first Mugler collection in the early 70's showcasing avant-garde pieces for sexy, confident women going on to debut his very own house in 1974. His ingenious designs showcased through his famously themed catwalk shows, painting-like photos and short films empower and celebrate powerful women.
