Gore-Tex waterproofing keeps your feet dry on wet roads in the Nike Pegasus 42 GTX, which has an engineered mesh upper and a soft mesh lining. Underfoot, ReactX foam sits over a full-length Air Zoom unit for moderate, neutral cushioning. It's set on a 10mm heel drop, with a rubber sole that gives you a stable base on tarmac.
Product Highlights
- Gore-Tex Invisible Fit membrane sits inside the upper, so you stay dry without a bulky bootie feel
- ReactX foam and full-length Air Zoom give you a bouncy, responsive ride
- Lugged rubber outsole grips wet, slippery surfaces
- Reflective heel strips keep you visible in low light
- Toe cap pictograms show the shoe's rating for rain, snow and storm conditions
Best For
- Heel strikers who want a 10mm heel-to-toe drop on daily road runs
- Dark, rainy commutes on foot through winter
- Runners logging high weekly mileage
- Wider feet? Try a half size up, since the toe box can feel narrow on long, high-mileage days
