Inspired by historic Venice, Barena was born from a love and curiosity of the centuries-old traditional dress, museums and antique prints from a bygone era of the territory. With the term ‘barena' meaning the territory of a lagoon between land and water, the brand name is an ode to those whole lived in this area who harnessed traditional skills like farming, hunting and fishing. Reflected in their design, Barena honour the poetic dress code of those who inhabited the Venetian estuary and fuse together classic cuts and fabrics with a modern edge.
