When it comes to fragrance, you can't go wrong with Creed. They've been in the game for over 250 years, and they're known for perfectly capturing the spirit of places and the moods of moments. The turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Star-filled night skies. The result? Scents that stay with you from first spritz to finale note.
With such a rich history and line-up, it can be difficult to know where to start. So we've curated a bulletproof edit of the ones to know. We break each fragrance down by mood and the key notes you need to know. Ft. modern masterpieces and hidden gems, these are the Creed fragrances to have on your radar.
Created for Creed’s 250th anniversary, Aventus is inspired by a historic emperor and has become a true icon. Bergamot and pink pepper notes meet pineapple, before settling on birch, cedarwood and musk. A natural, clean scent with a subtle citrus twist that always lands.
Drawn from Henry Creed’s fashion illustrations, Carmina is made for women who dress in bold strokes. Black cherries come through from the first spritz before swirling into rose de mai and cashmere wood. At it settles, delicate amber and myrrh notes give it a romantic afterglow. Stunning.
Born from (you guessed it) the Emerald Isle, this is a fresh green escape. There’s a nod to the house’s ties to Cumbrian fabric mills here too. Peppermint and verbena open the fragrance, and then soft lavender steps in. Finally, the oakmoss comes through in the base. Think mossy woods, cool waterfalls, and spring meadows. It's an easy scent that feels calm and quietly idyllic.
China, via Madagascar. Nodding to the smooth fluidity of the fabric, Queen of Silk drifts through far-flung skies. Osmanthus and magnolia open with a gentle haze before passion fruit and agarwood pour into the centre. Underneath it all, Madagascan vanilla and Chinese cedarwood leave refinement in their wake: a beautiful, silk-smooth kind of elegance.
Bright and fiery, Centaurus takes it cue from one of the largest constellations in the night sky. It opens with cardamom and cinnamon, before sandalwood and jasmine reveal themselves as it warms on the skin. Bourbon and Madagascan vanilla ground the scent, leaving a deep, smouldering trail. Out of this world.
At the heart of Oud Zarian sits Rose Centifolia, a flower so fleeting it only appears for three weeks at the beginning of May. Opening touches of frankincense set the tone, lending it an almost ethereal pull. Eventually, 80-year-aged oud from the forests of Bangladesh brings intensity and a long, lingering wake.
Dare to be different. Aventus for Her pays tribute to trailblazing women throughout history. Crisp green apple leads with a tart hit before Ylang-Ylang unfurls within the core. Patchouli and ambroxan pull everything together with depth and a soft glow. Decadence never smelt so good.
Inspired by the sun at twilight, Millésime Imperial catches the light. A kick of bergamot and violet leaves fade into a glistening marine accord and orris. Early evening warmth is supplied by cedarwood, sandalwood and musk. Pure golden hour.
Spring gardens. Dawn mists. With Trio of Rose at its core, Eledaria is designed to reawaken the senses. Revitalising mandarin tones kick things off, aided by pink pepper to bring warmth. Peony and Lily of the Valley bloom at its centre put you in mind of blossoming meadows. Vanilla and musk offer a sweet, calming sign off. Morning dew vibes.
Dancers in motion. Flowing fabrics. Wind Flowers starts with orange blossom and peach. Jasmine sambac and tuberose absolute shine in the main body of the fragrance. Iris blends with creamy praline for a dusky afterglow. It lingers throughout the day. Strong. Confident. Feminine.
Shaped by Provence’s tree-lined streets, Love in White is an ode to springtime. A gentle bouquet of apricot and orange zest leads. Narcissus and magnolia unfurl as it settles for a floral lift. Musk and cedarwood anchor the fragrance with a lingering sillage. Gorgeous from first spritz to last note.
Creed’s icon, reimagined. Named for the Latin word ‘absolvere’ (to set free), Absolu Aventus takes that spirit and soars. Tart notes of grapefruit slowly ease into the familiar pineapple and patchouli middle. Smoky Haitian vetiver round things off for an intriguing and audacious dry-down. A sophisticated spirit with attitude.
Turquoise shallows. Palm-framed bays. Virgin Island Water captures that Caribbean escape. Vibrant lime and tropical fruits add zest for a refreshing opening. Creamy coconut milk and white florals transport you to sunlit stretches of soft sand. A haze of tonka bean and smooth musk leaves you feeling calm and collected. Paradise, bottled.
Iceland: the land of rocky volcanoes and pristine glaciers. Viking takes its inspiration from the island and the early explorers who reached its shores. Pink peppercorn and absinthe set things alight for a strong beginning. Peppermint cools things down, before allspice and clove take hold. Cedarwood and white musk deliver a woody sign-off. Bold. Assured. Refined.
Picture it: pure alpine streams. Crisp mountain air. Silver Mountain Water nods to the snow-capped Swiss Alps. Citrus tones up front and an ozonic accord capture that high-altitude mood. Sandalwood completes the scent with a finish that recalls evergreen pines. Exhilarating.
