STYLE NOTES:
Florida sunshine, Ibiza beaches, UK staycations: three men’s fashion content creators share their holiday outfit formulas.
Heading on your summer hols? Struggling to find your next look? Wherever – and whatever - is on the agenda, we’ve got a fashion content creator who’s cooked up a look to match
From a family holiday in Florida with Jay M. Melchio-Bronx visiting galleries, brunching and hanging out, to beach days in Ibiza with Matt Ballie (or Batt Mallie as his Instagram friends know him) via an off-the-grid UK staycation in the depths of nowhere with Finn Orr, this is what to pack for your summer holiday this year featuring statement sunglasses, easy loafers, sneakers and more.
This outfit is all about intentional layering and bold simplicity. The colour palette is warm and coordinated, the accessories are deliberate, and the sneakers bring that "I know exactly what l'm doing" flex. Perfect for a summer art exhibit, brunch in the city, or just flexing effortlessly on a casual day out.
Open buttoned and worn over a classic white ribbed tank, a breezy shirt adds texture and dimension. Subtle embroidery detail on the chest keeps it fresh. A New York Yankees cap brings a sporty edge, while oval sunglasses add a sleek, slightly retro attitude. Minimal but intentional rings, a watch, and a chain peek from under the shirt, adding understated polish. The tailored shorts are clean, crisp, and versatile. A warm neutral tone grounds the outfit and balances the bright footwear.
A weekend away in the woods doesn’t mean compromising on style. The Stone Island cargos are an easy go-to – loads of pockets, clean silhouette and solid for pub stops and three-hour long dog walks. I threw on the Cole Buxton Real Tee long sleeve, so I blended in with the Salisbury countryside, then layered up with the C.P. Company shell jacket – practical but still looks flippin ‘ard. The cap ties it all together, and the croc tote goes nicely with the C.P. Company – adds a bit of texture, plus it held all the sandwiches and sausage rolls. Outdoors, but styled up.
Something light for a day that’s bright; these Casablanca shorts are definitely a summer staple. Loafers on the beach may be controversial, but I love loafers, and I love the beach - as far as I’m concerned, it’s a match made in heaven. I like to travel light! A signature scent, small accessories and one strong outfit with a few combinations on it is the best way to travel.
