In celebration of the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR, FLANNELS X (Oxford Street, London) is transformed into a full-throttle experience. From exclusive merch and a Balmain capsule to a one-of-a-kind exhibition, you can now enter the world of RENAISSANCE at FLANNELS X until 5th June.

There’s no denying – or really any need to explain - the power of Beyoncé. But allow us to, for a second. The global icon has created seven number one albums, broken the record for the greatest number of Grammys won (32), and shattered the glass ceiling, time and time again. Sitting at the intersection of fashion, art and music, the megastar is a shapeshifter. A master of all trades. And a genius at that.

It's no surprise then that The RENAISSANCE Flagship is another masterpiece. Want to know what’s in store? Allow us to give you the tour…

For the first time, 19-pieces from the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR collection are being sold outside of stadiums. Didn’t manage to bag a ticket? Now you’ll be able to get your hands on the official merch. Taking over the ground floor of FLANNELS X is an exhibition turned shop, with each piece on display and available to purchase on the spot.

From iconic collector pieces, like the silver RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR jacket and the matching ‘Thique’ short and hoodie set to the now cult ‘Heated’ oversized fan, you’ll be able to take home your own slice of history.

Plus, you’ll also find two FLANNELS exclusives: a ‘London Has A Problem’ tee in honour of the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR stop in the city, and a ‘Cuff It’ tee in homage to the Grammy award-winning single.

At the centre of it all, is the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR art book, a 50-page, self-published tomb, featuring exclusive imagery that gives a special glimpse into the inspiration behind the tour.

Earlier this year, French Vogue revealed a historic collection, RENAISSANCE COUTURE by Beyoncé x Balmain. Inspired by the 16 tracks on act i: RENAISSANCE, Beyoncé and Olivier Rousteing had worked for five months to co-design 17 ground-breaking pieces alongside the artist’s long-time stylist, Marni Senofonte.

Not only does the collection mark the first time a Black woman has overseen the couture offering from a historic Parisian house, but those designs were created in partnership with the first Black man to oversee all the collections at an historic Parisian house. It was history in the making.

With each look taking its name from the track that inspired it, the collection features a silver dress, cape and wig, dripping in lurex fringes, crystals and rhinestones for ‘Summer Renaissance’, a firework dress in black velvet, adorned with pink feathers, for ‘Cozy’, and a black hooded draped dress for the album’s first single, ‘Break My Soul’.

Now, for the first time, 12 pieces from the historic collection will go on public display. Staged on the ground floor of FLANNELS X, you’ll be able to see the pieces up close and delve deeper into their creation, from the tracks that inspired them to the talent that helped bring them to life.

To mark the occasion, a three-piece, limited-edition RENAISSANCE: Beyoncé with Balmain collection has been specially designed for FLANNELS. Drawing inspiration from the couture pieces, the capsule is available to shop online and in store throughout the opening of The RENAISSANCE Flagship at FLANNELS X. 

The pieces in question? An oversized tee and hoodie, featuring the artist herself dressed in the out-of-this-world ‘Alien Goddess’ gown, and a giant tote emblazoned with the collection’s moniker.

Want to know what the RENAISSANCE life feels like? Offering an immersion into the artist’s world, the FLANNELS X exterior and basement will become a multimedia exhibition celebrating the RENAISSANCE collection, album and world tour.

For seven days, the FLANNELS X basement will be transformed into a 360-degree, floor-to-ceiling digital showcase of the RENAISSANCE era.
